1/6 The improvement facilities heretofore constructed by the City within those areas designated in the 1957 Report as requiring relief, are assumed to have been properly accomplished; and such improved areas are not being carried forward for further study in this Report. DESCRIPTION OF EXISTING SEliER SYSTEM Hap of Existing Sewers The City's existing sewerage system, pertinent to Part One of this study is shown on an accompanying map, identified as Figure 1/2. This informa-tion is illustrated on a base map known as the Planning Commission Street Map furnished through the courtesy of the City of Fort Wayne Plan Commission. Although this base map does not encompass the total area of study for the Report on the extension of the City's sanitary interceptor and sanitary trunk sewer system, sufficient areas in and about the City are included to accommodate the information required for Part One of this Report. A separate base map, made by the reproduction of a composite map of the entire study area made from the several quadrangle topographic maps pub-lishe1 by the United States Geological Survey, has been prepared for il-lustrating the sanitary extension sewer programs. The base map as furnished by the Planning Commission was up-dated to include the most recent development areas and was made current as of June 1, 1968. Hylar reproducible copies of the up-dated base map were then prpared with the streets' background toned down in order that the information illustrated and pertinent to this Report be made to appear in sharper contrast.
