The players must jump over it as it passes them. Any player who fails to jump over the rope and stops the swinging 1s out of the gameo The last one to remain wins and swings the rope nexto CORNER SPRY _1ft Equipment: Four Bean Bags Divlde the pupils into four groups, stationed in four corners or different playing spaceso Each group has a captain who stands in the center with e. bean bag a.nd fa.ces his group of players who stand in a row side by side e Each captain throws his beanbag to the head player in Yis rowe The bag is thrown back to the captain, who tosses it to the next one, and so on until all the players have t;ossed o When. the captain tosses it to the last person, he calls "Corner Sprynand runs to the head of the row0 The last player then becomes the ce.ptllno That group wins wmrw which first has had all or its players in the captain's plseoo Care should be ta}~en to see that the teams are of equal number and that the throwing dista.nce for each team is the same" STREETS A1~ ALLEYS =-=- All the players are lined up in rOWSe The first DOW may have rour playars~ who with outstretched arms hold hands with each othero Another or four forms behind them, far enoughg so that if bot}l rows turned and faced right, again with outstretched arms they could hold hands with each other" Thus a block formation of rows is made up be£ore the game begins~ The game con= sists of one player t:~yinB -to catch a second, running down between the rows of the other players who are touching or holding hands o \iVhen the cOYilliland nStreets" is given all the players turn to the right and join ha.ndso Vlhen the command nA.lleyse~ 1s glven~ all turn .forward as S.t f'irst" In the meant1.111e the runner and the chaser are in action between the lanes taking a different direction at; each new call o They may not run through or duck under rulY joined hands~ When the chaser tags the runner, they may reverse ~ or choose -two new players to take their places .. -C-R"O'S,,S-IN-G-- -T,H.E. , BROO-K Equipment: Chalk i:or marking brook or the flooro Two parallel lines are drawn- .or marked o:t:f to represent the "brook" 6 Each child in the group runs and tries to jump across the ftbrookfl.
