~EmEc'rlVE This game is usually played in circle formntiono One child is chosen to be the detective,. he leaves the room. During his absence another child is selected who will lead the group in taking certain posi tions and making various mov·aments C) The positions m~ vary from one foot forward; head tUl'ned to the side; one hand on hip; etc o To H~ various movements such as xx waving a hand or nodding the head, etc e The leader must be very cautious not to change his actions or positions when the deuective is looking in his directiono The children in the group must be oautioned against looking direotly at the leadero Arter the leader is chosen, the detective 1s called into the circles He has three guesses to determine the leader, at Which he takes a reasonable Wlount of time o If he is successful, he chooses a new detective and another leader is chosen when this deteotive leaves the room n Thus the game continues. ATHLETIC BADGE TESTS ~ BOYS The platground and Recreation Association of Amerioa has adopted the following standards as a test of athletic ability for boys: FIRST TEST 10 Pul<=up (ohlnning) ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 4 times OR Rope Climb (Using both hands and legs) •••••• 12 ximma teet 2.
