Helen Wilson House QfJices' 1021 E. Berry St. Fort Wayne, IN 46802 Summary Residence' Same The Helen Wilson House is a facility for women recovering from substance abuse which opened in January of 1992. The director of the facility is Thelma Maddox. The facility is open only to women over the age of 18 \vithout children. All women must have completed detoxification services before becoming a resident. The minimum stay is 90 days; the maximum, 2 years. Women come to the facility from other treatment centers: Park Center. Lindenview. Washington House, Lutheran Hospital. and other facilities. They must be willing to work or continue their formal training. The facility makes use of other providers: East Wayne Street Center for training, Matthew 25 for health care, and food from the Community Harvest Food Bank. Finances The facility operates under very loose financial guidelines. No budgets or financial statements are prepared. Clients pay $265 per month for room and board~ the township trustee will pay $175 per month for those women without jobs.
