c 1987-88 AFFIRMATIVE ACTION ANNUAL REPORT While the Superintendent of the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center has overall responsibility for this agency's Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, he has delegated to the Affirmative Action Expediter/Director of Personnel Services the authority to establish and maintain the necessary programs. These activities include: communication of the agency's Equal Opportunity Policy both internally and externally; identification of problem areas and implementation of corrective action measures when and if deficiencies are discovered; counselling with all employees equally concerning their professional development or problems which they feel exist in relation to their job; assisting line managers in all matters relating to Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action; continuing analysis of employment, termination, and promotional data to assure that the objectives of the Affirmative Action Plan are being met; conducting a continuous review of personnel policy and procedures to insure that they do not discriminate against any group and further, that they promote and compliment the Superintendent's commitment to Affirmative Action. The Director of Personnel Services and the Employment Manager work closely together to insure that appropriate advertising is conducted. All hiring/recruitment correspondence include the phrase An Equal Opportunity Employer; all advertisements for recruitment purposes (newspapers, newsletters, and journals) include An Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/H/V.
