c c The handbook is reviewed with the new employees by the expediter and any questions they may have on its' contents are answered. Services offered through the Employee Relations Office are discussed and pamphlets are distributed describing assistance offered through our newly established Employee Assistance Program. A checklist is sent to all complexes and departments whenever a new employee is hired in their particular area. The checklist includes an orientation documentation sheet and induction checklist. This is an assurance that all new employees receive fair and equal treatment with proper introduction to their job beginning with the first day of employment. This goal was completed and will be continued in next year's plan. All the above listed information is extremely important to new employees. Goal #3 - Maintain a program to keep employees aware of Affirmative Action. Program Outline - Develop and print posters for all official bulletin boards which state we are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Do video tape presentation and updates on Affirmative Action items to be aired over closed circuit television for staff viewing. Set up booth on Employee Recognition Day with pictures of Affirmative Action Committee members and expediter - All members to be available to assist with project and answer questions from staff. At least twice a year, articles concerning Affirmative Action will be printed in the Developmental Center's newsletter that is distributed to all employees. Progress - Posters stating our commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action were maintained on all official bulletin boards.
