arrow fishing and spear fishing are prohibited. Ice fishing is prohibited at Park Board-controlled areas. 12. Hunting, firearms-prohibited - Parks to be considered game preserves: No person shall be allowed to carry frrearms, to shoot or throw stones at or to set snares for any wild life, animals, birds and fish within the limits of any park or within 500 feet thereof. All park land shall be wild game preserves. Fireworks, firearms, "BB" guns, slingshots, pea shooters and war pistols are prohibited in all park areas unless permission has been obtained from the Board of Park Commissioners. Operation Of Vehicles 1. Desi~ated vehicles Allowed: The Board of Park Commissioners, pursuant to authority of the Traffic Code, shall be empowered to designate by order recorded in its minutes the kind of conveyances and vehicles and the load thereon that may not be used or hauled in all or any of the parks, parkways, boulevards, streets and roadways under the control of the Board of Park Commissioners which have been improved; and, it shall be unlawful for any person to use any vehicle or conveyance contrary to the provisions of any such order of the Board of Park Commissioners. 2. Riding, driving or parking within park areas: (a) No person shall ride or drive within any park except on the avenues or roads or at a rate of speed to exceed 25 miles per hour, or slower as posted. (b) Vehicle parking is permitted only in the designated areas, and not on the ~ grass; vehicles are not permitted on playgrounds or picnic areas. Parking of vehicles in any park area between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. shall be prohibited except no restrictions as to hours shall apply to parked vehicles of persons while I?laying golf on the lighted municipal course. (c) Bicycles may be walked through a playground area. (d) Horseback riders are restricted to use of the bridle paths in parks. 3. Sno\VI11obiles: No person shall operate a self-propelled vehicle which is designated to travel on snow covered surfaces, and commonly known as a snowmobile, within any park, playground, boulevard, strip or any other park grounds, except in areas which may be designated by the Board of Park Commissioners as snowmobile areas. 4. Operation of non-registered motor vehicles: No person shall operate a go cart, swamp buggy, race car or any other type of motor vehicle which is not registered with the department of motor vehicles of the state in any park, playground, boulevard, strip or any other park grounds, except in areas which may be designated by the Board of Park Commissioners for such use.
