7 several hundred individuals from various neighborhood organizations and schools. ~lISCELLANEOUS There were several special projects handled by the staff of Long Range Planning in 1981. Special projects are assignments that are not part of the staff's overall work program. Some of the large-scale projects included data collection for the City's six-year garbage contract and the City Council's redistricting proposals. The staff also worked on site selection proposals for future sanitary landfills and participated in a downtown survey. In total, these four special projects accounted for nine (9) work weeks of the staff's time. Other less time-consuming special projects handled by the staff included research and analysis of the community's Year 2000 Transportation Plan and the Arbor Ditch sewer proposal. In addition, the staff supplied information to the Fort Wayne Housing Authority, the Fort Wayne Junior League, Falstaff Credit Union, and numerous developers and market analysts. 18
