Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette Fri., Jan. 9, 1976 Arts Info Life to Baton Rouge Larry Life, a director and faculty member of Purdue's theater program, has been invited to be an artist-in-residence at Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge. He will direct and choreograph their production of Leonard Bernstein's "On The Town," in addition to lecturing in acting and directing classes. Life will leave for Baton Rouge following the performance this weekend of his production of "Hair" at the Regional American College Theatre Festival at Central Michigan University. Life's production of "Dames at Sea" was chosen one of the top 10 productions in the American College Theatre Festival and played the Eisenhower Theatre in Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C., in 1973. In addition to teaching and directing at the Fort Wayne Purdue campus, Life teaches on the staff of the Fort Wayne Ballet School. Mon., Jan. 12, 1976 FORT WAYNE NEWS-SENTINEL Larry Life Guest Artist In Louisiana Larry Life, Purdue-Indiana Theatre director whose production of the rock musical "HAIR" competed this weekend in the American College Theatre Festival regionals, has left for Louisiana State University where he will be Artist-in-Residence. Life will direct and choreograph the University's production of Leonard Bernstein's "On the Town." Word on whether "HAIR" was chosen for national Festival competition is not expected until mid or late February. One of Life's productions for PIT, "Dames at Sea," was named to the Top 10 in 1973, and her has had two national alternates - PIT's "Marathon 33" last year and "Luther" which he did for Texas A&I University in 1971.
