Fall Campus Visit Days
The annual Health Career Day was Oct. 9. Approximately 550 students from area high schools attended. Students attended sessions about various health careers. IPFW Insight Day, Nov. 10, was a big success with 426 prospective students and their parents attending. Visitors had the opportunity to meet with representatives from all academic areas, tour the campus, and attend interest sessions. Thanks to all who were involved and helped the admissions office present a positive image of IPFW.
Fall and Spring Enrollments
This is another record year for IPFW. Total enrollment for fall 1991 reached 12,077 for a 1.7 percent increase over fall 1990. Spring 1992 enrollment rose to 11,216 a 1.1 percent increase over spring 1991. Conferences and Staff Activities
Congratulations to Carol Isaacs, associate director, and Pauline Flynn, chair of the audiology and speech sciences department, who received the YWCA Women of Achievement Award. Karl Zimmerman, C.C. Fullove, Carol Isaacs, and Lila Hammer attended the Indiana Association of College Admission Counselors' annual congress last September in Indianapolis. The two-day conference was attended by over 650 Indiana high school guidance and college admissions counselors. Isaacs and Zimmerman attended the annual meeting of the Indiana Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers in October. Isaacs has been elected secretary/treasurer of IACRAO for 1991-92. Fullove attended the Hampton Experience at Hampton University last July. The workshop, sponsored by the National Association of College Admission Counselors, was for minority admissions counselors. Isaacs and Hammer will attend The College Board Regional Meeting in Chicago on Feb. 16-18.
Fall Visits
The admissions staff makes numerous visits to area high schools throughout the year. Last fall visits were made to 53 high schools and 24 college fairs where a total of 1935 prospective students were contacted. Also, staff member present college planning programs for students and parents throughout the year. In additional to these traditional visits and college fairs, IPFW representatives attended career day programs which included General Motors, Lincoln National, and Parkview Hospital.

Office Activities
We welcome Debora Roy to the admissions staff. Deb works afternoons only and processes inter-campus and re-entry applications. Deb and her husband have four children. In her "spare" time Deb is a part-time student in organizational leadership and supervision. Admissions continues to handle a large volume of phone calls and visitors. Between Aug. 26, 1991 and Jan 10, 1992, the office received 13,264 phone calls, up 21 percent over the same time period in 90-91. During the same period, 6,239 people stopped in to ask questions or pick up information, a 16 percent increase. A total of 797 scheduled and 318 unscheduled interviews were held with admissions counselors, up 3 percent and down 25 percent respectively. Also, during the fall semester, 98 individual campus tours were given by current IPFW students to prospective students, a 29 percent increase from fall of 1991.
