COLLEGE PLACEMENT ANNUALS FOR 1976
The College Placement Annual presents the occupational needs anticipated by more than 1,400 corporate and governmental employers who normally recruit college graduates.
Students and graduates who register with the Placement Office may receive a complimentary copy at no cost. Others may use the office copy as a resource tool.
COMPUTER-ASSISTED PLACEMENT OPERATION
The computerized placement candidate selection and job notification service is designed to help Indiana-Purdue placement candidates find positions commensurate with their qualifications and desires. Selectivity for this system is based on four criteria: degree, major/minor, position desired, competencies. Special information regarding a job (i.e., experience required, percent of travel, etc.) is noted in the job information the candidate will receive by mail.
For positions where the interviewer will not be on campus to interview, the candidate should make direct contact with the employer. When it is indicated that the employer will be on campus to interview prospective candidates, the placement registrant should contact the Placement Office to establish an interview time. More complete information about positions listed are available in the Placement Office, Rm. 113, Student Union. Job information is maintained in request number order and divided up according to major.
PERSONAL CAREER PLANNING - CONTINUING EDUCATION
Are you unemployed, underemployed, misemployed, or just interested in exploring career opportunities? Continuing Education offers a course designed to assist students in evaluating and establishing career goals in view of personal goals and life planning. Participants may complete a vocational interest inventory, a personality-based career choice inventory, and an occupational importance questionnaire. These will be administered and interpreted by a professional counselor. This course begins October 28, 1975. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 7:30-9:30 p.m., and will run for 6 weeks. The fee is $35.00. Those interested should contact the Continuing Education Office in Kettler Hall.
