I took this picture while I was hiking up one of Korea's many mountains. It was one of those scenes that made everyone stop and stare. I just decided to take a picture while I stared.
I think the shot is a great example of Seoul, South Korea's ancient history being so close to its modern world. Just outside of the stillness and serenity of this shot you'll find yourself back in the hustle and bustle of the modern city.
I chose to enter this picture into the photo contest mainly because I thought it fit the category, most picturesque. Also, it was difficult to get a shot of one of these authentic Buddha statues, so I figured no one else would have such a shot. -- B. Vann
